Dzodze (V/R), Oct. 27, GNA - A man said to be a popular Togolese pastor wanted by the International Police Organisation (Interpol) for a four million CFA Franc fraud was arrested at Dzodze on Wednesday. Pastor Kouami Hounssey, 55, said to be on the run for three years was arrested while leading a prayer session arranged by the Police at the Dzodze Deeper Life Church.

A source close to the Dzodze police told the GNA that Hounssey allegedly used fake land documents to convince madam Sena Adzovi Agboga, a trader, to pay him about four million CFA Francs for plots of land at Sagbado near Lome in 2006.

The source said the suspect escaped to Dzodze in the Ketu North District, where he joined the Deeper Life Church as assistant to the head pastor and was identified by a member of the Lome branch of the Church who visited Dzodze.

Mr. Andrews Avorgbedor, Chief Inspector of Police in charge of Dzodze confirmed Hounssey's arrest.
