We can confirm that the Norwegian Supreme Court's Appeal Selection Committee on 11 June 2007 delivered a procedural decision in which Mr. Kjelsaas among other things was instructed to disclose details of a specific Swiss banc account within 15 August 2007.
Unfortunately there is no English translation of the decision, which has reference HR-2007-01025-U. It follows from the decision that in the underlying lawsuit, which will be handled by the Court of Appeal, Mr. Kjelsaas is accused by Scancem of having taken possession of money Scancem was supposed to pay to Ghanaian politicians.
We are not in a position to confirm the accuracy of other details contained in the article (read), as the article partly contains information that was not an issue in the Appeal Selection Committee's decision.
Yours sincerely,
Cecilie Østensen Noss
Deputy Secretary-General
Norwegian Supreme Court
