Some BECE graduates reporting to Senior High School
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has confirmed that all BECE graduates will report to Senior High and Technical Schools nationwide on September 18, 2026.
In a statement on May 14, GES congratulated the graduates and said preparations are complete to ensure a smooth transition, myjoyonline.com reported on May 16, 2026.

Measures include adequate infrastructure, facilities and administrative support across schools to accommodate all incoming students.
“All qualified candidates will be placed in schools. Every effort has been made to ensure that each student has access to senior high and technical education,” GES stressed.
The service dismissed reports that 72,000 students risk missing placement as “speculative” and urged the public to disregard them.
GES also said the ongoing phase-out of the double-track system will not affect access. Instead, the reform is expected to improve teaching and learning while maintaining full access for all pupils.
The service reaffirmed its commitment to equitable, inclusive and quality education and called on parents, educators, and policymakers to support the goal.
