The founder and Apostle General of Royalhouse Chapel International, Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah, has donated GH¢50,000 to support this year’s National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, a gesture aimed at ensuring the success of the annual spiritual observance.

Speaking during a visit by the planning committee, to his office on Wednesday, June 11,2025, Rev Ankrah emphasised the importance of financial backing in realising the national exercise instituted by President John Dramani Mahama.

“This vision needs resources. You need money to do this job,” he emphasised.

He noted that the donation was not only symbolic but also a practical contribution toward fostering national unity through prayer.

He also commended the appointment of Elvis Afriyie Ankrah as chairman of the committee, describing him as a “humble and team-oriented leader” who has long championed interfaith collaboration in the country.

The National Day of Prayer was instituted by President John Dramani Mahama, who officially declared July 1, Republic Day as a day dedicated to thanksgiving and prayer for the country.

This year’s event is themed “Reset, Reflect and Renew for National Prosperity,” the event seeks to unite religious leaders and citizens in a time of gratitude, reflection, and intercession for the nation.
