MP for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency and Deputy Majority leader, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo has been awarded an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership and a Certificate in the Women and Power Program from the Harvard Kennedy School(Harvard University) in the United States of America.

The Women and Power Program is designed to empower Women in Public Leadership to become effective in their roles whilst becoming worthy role models to others in their fields of endeavour.

As the first woman in the history of Ghana to be appointed Deputy Majority Leader and the Leader of the Womens' Caucus in Ghana's Parliament, the knowledge and experience from the program will equip the Ghanaian legislator to provide leadership that will continuously identify the challenges that confront Women in Public Leadership and how to overcome these challenges and become influential in the decision making process whilst championing the cause of Women both within and outside Parliament.

As the first ever Minister and Woman to be appointed Minister of State in Charge of Public Procurement, the first time a Minister has been appointed to streamline Public Procurements and Policy, shows the confidence of the appointing authority in her abilities and knowledge and the quality of her Leadership.

Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo has demonstrated sterling Leadership in these roles since her election and appointment to these new roles and the award of an Executive certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School equips her to apply the knowledge acquired in the discharge of her duties for societal transformation.

The Harvard Kennedy School has great personalities as Alumnus including but not limited to the Former President of the United States of America George W. Bush, Former President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and the Former Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-Moon.
