Sarkodie criticised for drinking champagne in washroom while taking mirror selfie

It seems Sarkodie has sparked another wave of discussion among Ghanaians after being spotted sipping a glass of champagne in a washroom.

For years, the rapper has been known for his signature act of holding a champagne flute, whether in music videos, freestyle sessions, or public appearances.

However, his latest act of bringing the glass into the washroom has drawn criticism from fans.

In a viral video, the Sarkcess Music boss was seen taking a mirror selfie while drinking champagne in the washroom, a development, many have termed unhygienic.

Netizens have argued that, regardless of how clean a washroom may appear, it is not an ideal place for drinking due to the potential risk of bacteria, viruses, and so on.

Sarkodie's ‘champagne ritual’ began around 2019, following a diss freestyle aimed at Shatta Wale, where he first appeared with a wine glass in the video.

Since then, it has become a signature part of his public personality.
