Accra, Aug. 1, GNA - The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Accra would open a book of condolence for the late King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud from Wednesday to Friday.

A statement issued in Accra by the Embassy said the book would be opened at the Embassy from 1000 hours to 1400 hours on Wednesday and Thursday and from 1000 hours to 1200 hours and 1400 hours to 1600 hours on Friday.

Saudi King Fahd, Leader of the world's top oil exporter and a key US Ally, died on Monday after a long period of ill health that saw him hand over the reins of power in the last years of his turbulent rule. His half-brother Crown Prince Abdullah, de facto ruler for a decade, was swiftly anointed his successor and powerful Defence Minister Sultan bin Abdul Aziz was chosen as crown prince of the ultra-conservative Gulf Kingdom.
