Saviour Church holds pastors conference

Gomoa Nyanyano (C/R), March 1, GNA- The Saviour Church of Ghana on Saturday held its Pastors Conference at Gomoa Nyanyano in the Central Region to discuss matters affecting the ministry. The conference brought together Pastors from the northern and southern sectors of the country to share views and plan strategies for the development of the Church.

Addressing the pastors, the General Spiritual Head of the Church, Elia Asirifi also known as "Dadiako" urged them to resist temptations and acts of violence, which would retard the progress of the Church. He said that now that the crisis in the ministry was over and the church duly registered with the Registrar-General Department, members should maintain absolute peace to move the Church forward. The General Spiritual Head urged them to be law abiding and follow the tenets of the Bible in their endeavours. He said a conference would be held on March 27, 2009 to decide on a date for Pastors, Executives and Members of the Church to visit Osiem, the headquarters of the Church in the Eastern Region. The meeting would also adopt plans to rehabilitate buildings of the Church and other facilities.

The General Spiritual Head stated that even though some of them were assaulted it should not deter them from worshiping and appealed to them to unite. The Reverend Matthew Agyei, in-charge of Southern Sector advised the members to exercise restrain to ensure peace and stability and to unite to promote understanding and development of the Church. The Reverend Peter Yankyira, in-charge of the Kwabire Circuit urged members to undertake more development projects to enhance their socio-economic conditions.
