Second Lady donates to Police Experimental School, Clinic

Wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur on Monday showed love by donating quantities of medical equipment’s and educational materials valued at millions of cedis to the Central Regional Police Experimental Basic School and the Regional Police Clinic in the Cape Coast in the Central Region.

Donating the medical equipment’s, Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur entreated the management of clinic to continue to work hard and take good care of the items in order to increase their lifespan and improve health delivery.

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur, inspected the two facilities and commended the Police clinic management and staff for the good job that they were doing and encouraged them to do more to ensure quality healthcare for the country.

She said the objective for the donation was to help in her own small way by donating to the School and clinic and encourage them to work hard.

Earlier on Mrs. Amissah-Arthur had presented set of reading materials to the Central Regional Police Experimental Basic School. She used the opportunity to advise the children to learn hard in order to be future leaders.

She advised the children that in spite of the challenges they faced, they should study hard with the little they have because their efforts would be rewarding. In doing she a lot of young ones would look up them because in the face of challenges they still perform well academically.

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur called on the head teacher and teachers of the school to help the children make good use the books by reading regularly in order to enhance their academic performance.

Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur was taken round to inspect the school and interact with the children and encourage them to do more. And commended the school for doing well academically and encouraged them to do more to ensure quality healthcare for the country.

She was accompanied by the Regional Minister Hon Kweku Rickets Hagan and the Regional Police commander, ACP Kwame Tachie-Poku.
