John Dramani Mahama is the President of Ghana
President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing intelligence and security as a cornerstone for national development.
According to a report by 3news.com on December 8, 2025, the president made the remarks while commissioning the National Signals Bureau’s (NSB) Volta Regional Command in Ho.
He emphasised that “security is the foundation of development, and intelligence is the backbone of security.”

President Mahama highlighted that the expansion of the National Signals Bureau nationwide is critical for effective surveillance and the protection of Ghana’s digital and cyberspace domains.
The new command in Ho will serve as the central hub for intelligence and security coordination in the Volta Region, equipped with advanced technology and integrated with both regional and national surveillance systems.
The Minister of the Interior, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, praised the government’s dedication to strengthening national security.
He also disclosed that four additional regional commands are expected to be operational by the end of 2025, the report indicated.
