The late former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region, John Kumah, is expected to be buried on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
The final funeral rite of the late John Kumah, who was also a Deputy Minister of Finance, began early on Saturday morning at Ejisu and was attended by scores of notable Ghanaians, including the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The late former minister is expected to be laid to rest later on Saturday at the Aduapakye Royal Cemetery.
A video of his final resting place at the cemetery has gone viral.
The said video, which was shared by ghpage_tv, showed a well-built structure, which is supposed to be a tomb with two openings.
One of the openings, which was on the side of the tomb, led to the grave where the former minister’s casket is expected to be placed.
The other opening was a glass door, which led to the inside of the burial chamber, the tomb itself.
The tomb was well-designed and beautifully decorated with flowers and other ornaments.
The grave had a headstone that displayed the details of the former minister.
There was another grave in the tomb whose ledger bore the name Juliana Kumah.
