The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has shared a court document as part of his “State Capture” exposé on state properties, including lands bought by members of the New Patriotic Party and the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government.

The document the MP shared is a suit filed by the Judicial Service of Ghana against the Lands Commission, the Attorney General, and a private entity, Frimps Oil Company.

The Judicial Service asked the court to declare that it is the lawful occupant of some lands and bungalows opposite the American Embassy.

It also asked the court to declare the sale or lease of the said land and properties illegal.

“The Plaintiff/Applicant has sued the Defendants/Respondents seeking the following reliefs against the said Defendants: (a) Declaration that the Plaintiff is the lawful occupant of the land and bungalows opposite the American Embassy, labelled Plot 3A to 3F with six houses thereon.

“(b) Declaration that any purported sale, lease, grant or disposal of the land and bungalows opposite the American Embassy, labelled Plot 3A to 3F with six houses thereon, is unconstitutional and unlawful,” part of the court document reads.

The service went on to list the properties on the affected land as follows:
