President Akufo-Addo, on Monday, January 6, 2025, gave President-elect John Dramani Mahama a tour of the Jubilee House. This was part of the transition process ahead of the formal handing-over ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
The two leaders exchanged pleasantries as they toured the Jubilee House, accompanied by Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the Chief of Staff; Julius Debrah, the former Chief of Staff; and Bawah Mogtari, a member of the delegation.
The tour included a visit to the presidential office, where President Akufo-Addo briefed President-elect Mahama on ongoing projects and initiatives. The leaders also discussed the transition process, ensuring a smooth and seamless transfer of power.
This symbolic gesture marks the beginning of a new chapter in Ghana's history, as the National Democratic Congress prepares to take over governance on January 7, 2025.
