Sunyani, May 16, GNA - Nana Kwadwo Seinti, the outgoing Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, on Monday appealed to the people of Brong Ahafo not to feel downtrodden but to have confidence and work harder to move the region forward.
Speaking in an interview with the GNA on his farewell message for the people in the region, Nana Seinti, who has been nominated as High Commissioner to Malaysia, expressed concern that although the region was well endowed with rich natural resources, not much of these had been fully tapped to create the wealth for the people.
He noted that even though most of the people were skilled, a lot of them had failed to recognize their potentials that could be exploited for their socio-economic advancement.
Nana Seinti said his private conversations with the Chinese and Japanese ambassadors had revealed that they had high opinions of the region and called on the people to support efforts towards its development.
He said he had no doubts about the capabilities of Mr Ignatius Baffuor-Awuah, the Deputy Regional Minister who has been nominated the minister and that he had learnt so much from him. The Regional Co-ordinating Council at the weekend organised a send-off party for him.
