Sekondi-Takoradi jubilates over victory

Takoradi June 14, GNA - Sekondi-Takoradi was thrown into jubilation after the victory of the Black Stars over Serbia in the FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa.

Soon after the final whistle blew, vehicles and motor cycles carrying Ghana flags drove through the principal streets tooting their horns with the occupants singing songs of jubilation.

In some parts of Takoradi, residents mostly the youth took to the streets dancing to brass band music.

People interviewed by the Ghana News Agency were full of praise for the splendid performance of the Black Stars and expressed the hope that they would continue to make the country proud in subsequent matches.
