Effiduase (Ash), Nov. 3, GNA - The Most Rev Dr Robert Aboagye-Mensah, Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, has advised those in leadership positions to set good examples of service in humility so as to unite and pull the people along with them. He said shouting and screaming at the very people they had been placed in positions to lead would only engender rebellion.

"Let us accept that deep down in us we all do not want to be lorded over and so if by God's grace we are elevated we should not start to strangely display arrogance of power and become domineering." Rev Aboagye-Mensah was preaching at the induction service of the Right-Reverend Samuel Agyeman Kwakye, the Methodist Bishop of Effiduase at the Effiduase Wesley Cathedral in the Sekyere East District on Sunday.

He said leaders who used brute force to build empires perished with their empires and counselled the new Bishop to show great respect, kindness and compassion to all manner of people and members of the Church.

Aged 56, Rt. Rev Kwakye, joined the Methodist ministry in 1977 and until his election as Bishop, was the Superintendent Minister in-charge of the Asawasi Circuit of the Church. 03 Nov. 03
