The Nkoranza District Officer of the Department of Social Welfare treated 74 maintenance cases for the first half of the year. Eight cases involving men who had refused pregnancies from teenage girls between the ages of 15 and 17 were also handled, reports the Ghana News Agency.

According to Mr Pesang, the Officer, three men who refused responsibilities for pregnancies were ordered to take look after the pregnant girls up to delivery and thence assist them to learn some vocation.
