Prophet Nicholas Osei aka Kumchacha, the Man of God who made headline news over reports that he had attempted to use his penis to remove an ‘evil spirit’ that was supposedly hiding in the genitals of a 21-year-old woman in Kumasi, has once again found himself in the news for controversial reasons.

Prophet Kumchacha on Wednesday walked into the offices of NEWS-ONE, and swore to the paper’s editorial team that the God of Heaven had told him that the current rationing of electricity and the water shortage situation in the country was caused by the fact that some Ghanaians were tolerating homosexuals.

“There is water shortage in Ghana because of homosexuals and that is also why electricity supply is now a problem.

God specifically told me this and said I should make it known.

God said any country that promotes homosexuals would face such problems; they are curses from God and more curses would befall Ghana unless we stop all the homosexuals in the country”, Prophet Kumchacha stated.

When Kumchacha was asked why countries like UK, Germany or USA that had almost legitimized homosexuality, were not facing calamities, this was his response:

“God’s curses are in several forms; he curses some people by making them suffer from boils, others sleeplessness, others poverty.

So the countries you have mentioned have their own curses from God but they do not know.”

Kumchacha, founder and leader of Heaven Gate Ministry, suggested that homosexuality should not be treated as a matter that should be left for the law, but should rather be treated as a purely spiritual matter.

“We must do something about what is going on in this country because we cannot continue to live in a country where government would appoint a Minister who would say homosexuals have rights that should be protected.

That is same as promoting homosexuality and this is bringing great curses on us all,” Kumchacha stated.

Kumchacha became the chorus on people’s lips when news broke that he had told a 21-year-old woman that the Holy Spirit had directed him to exorcise an evil spirit that was tormenting her in the genitals and thwarting her efforts at making any progress in life.

The Minister of the Gospel reportedly attempted to use his male organ to exorcise the evil spirit but the woman resisted the action and raised an alarm, which attracted many people to the Sanbra Hotel at Adum in Kumasi, where he was engaged in a counseling session.

Kumchacha however denied the allegation and insisted it was a set-up to tarnish his reputation.

The development attracted a large crowd to the hotel and the case eventually landed at the Ashanti Regional Police Command.
