Popular musicians and sports personalities graced the 2026 World Cup raffle draw
Prominent figures from the sporting and creative arts sectors were present as the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams launched the 2026 World Cup Raffle Draw on March 17, 2026, at the Ministry of Finance in Kanda.
The World Cup raffle is part of a broader fundraising effort to support fans traveling to the tournament.
It was noted that the amount raised from the raffle will determine the number of fans the government will sponsor to support the Black Stars during the competition in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The event was led by Kofi Adams who assured that the budget for the World Cup will be made public to promote transparency and accountability.
Deputy Minister of Finance, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, was also present and emphasised that the government is committed to funding the tournament and will continue to work diligently.
The event was graced by football officials including Black Stars assistant coach John Paintsil, Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, and several other personalities.
From the creative arts industry, notable attendees included top Dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, musician Kweku Flick, as well as gospel singer Nacee.
