Samuel Siaw Ampadu, a renowned businessman and former Co-Chairman of the Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association, has been formally installed as the Tufohene of Kwahu Obomeng in the Eastern Region, assuming the stool name Nana Siaw II.
The installation ceremony, held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Kwahu Obomeng Chief’s Palace, drew hundreds of attendees, including local dignitaries and residents.
Nana Siaw II swore an oath of allegiance before esteemed traditional leaders. The Chief of Kwahu Obomeng, Odeefo Nana Effah Pinamang III, advised Nana Siaw II to uphold truthfulness and servitude, emphasizing that leadership is about serving the community, not exercising authority.
He stressed that genuine leadership fosters development, benefiting both the community and Ghana.
Nana Siaw II swore an oath of allegiance in front of Ninfahene, Benkumhene, the Queen Mother of Kwahu Obomeng, and the Chief of Obomeng, Odeefo Nana Effah Pinamang III.
There was a traditional cultural display depicting Nana Siaw II’s installation.
He stated that being a chief is about serving rather than riding on the subjects, adding that “as the Tufohene, you must first advise yourself in order to advise the entire community and myself.”
Odeefo Nana Effah Pinamang III explained that by telling the truth and serving the people, the community will grow, which will eventually benefit Ghana.
