Accra, Jan. 11, GNA - Interpol, Accra with the assistance of the Ghana High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria, has rescued six young Ghanaian women, who were trafficked to Nigeria.

Mr Prosper Agblor, Head of Interpol, Accra, told the Ghana News Agency in Accra that information gathered by the Ghana Mission in Nigeria indicated that the girls were trafficked to Lagos by Janet Yisa, a Nigerian Trader.

He identified the girls as Aishatu Salisu, 19; Adiza Issah, 19 and Latifa Isshatu, 18, all from Tamale; Memunatu Fuseini, 18, from Bimbilla and Barikisu Iddrisu, 16, and Salima Ibrahim, 20, both from Wa. He said Yisa, a Yuroba, lured the girls, who are all from Northern Ghana to Nigeria.
