Six notorious robbers nabbed in Sege

The Sege Police Command has arrested six people including two females who have been terrorizing residents of the area.

The suspects were apprehended at Adjumanikorpe-Bornikorpe-Borniorpe Electrical Area, Koluedor and Sege, all in the Ada West District. Various items including two motorbikes, washing powder, desktop computers and crates of eggs were retrieved from them.

According to the police, the suspects use their female colleagues as baits to lure their prey into amorous relationships and eventually rob them of their possession.

The Ada West District Police Commander, ASP George Aboagye told Atinka News that the notorious criminal, Evans Adiamah known as 'Akaa' is connected to several criminal cases reported to the station and has over the years terrorized residents, creating insecurity in some communities in the district.

The District Chief Executive for Ada West, Adzoteye Larweh Akrofi on his part, implored landlords to be observant of such characters, saying as may as seven or eight of such people live in one room as one of them usually rents one apartment to plan their evil deeds.

He called on well- to -do citizens and residents of the entire Ada Traditional Area to assist the police with logistics, particularly vehicles and motorbikes to enable them protect life and property, instead of providing individual security which is ineffective without the police.
