A 60-year-old man is currently battling for his life at the Suhum Government Hospital after surviving cutlass wounds at 44, a suburb of Suhum in the Eastern Region.
The victim had multiple cutlass wounds on the head and some parts of his body.
The incident took place on Sunday when the victim, Lawrence Oboubi Nyantei was on his way to the farm.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at his hospital bedside, Nyantei said he was attacked by two men dressed like footballers with cutlasses.
He said the miraculous arrival of a taxi driver on the scene made his attackers flee and that saved him.
Nana Kwame Gyasi, a friend of the victim pleaded with the police to find the attackers of his friend.
A source at the Suhum Police Station confirmed the incident and said the police have initiated investigations into the incident to track down the perpetrators.
