Williams Mensah, the soldier caught on CCTV physically assaulting a pharmacy attendant and a female customer near Burma Camp, has been granted GH¢70,000 bail with two sureties.
The alleged military officer was arrested by the Military Police in the early hours of Thursday, October 30, 2025, at his residence inside the Burma Camp military barracks, following public outcry over the incident.
The assault occurred on October 29, 2025, when Mensah, dressed in plain clothes, stormed the pharmacy to demand a refund of about GH¢65.00 after rejecting medication he had sent a boy to purchase on his behalf.

The attendant reportedly informed him that the drugs sold were non-refundable, angering Mensah and prompting him to assault both the attendant and a female customer.
CCTV footage showed Mensah pushing the woman, landing several slaps on her face, and then attacking the male attendant behind the counter. Despite attempts by bystanders to intervene, Mensah reportedly continued to pursue the female customer even after she exited the shop.
