The Member of Parliament for Agona West Constituency in the Central Region, Cynthia Morison, who is also the former Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, was hooted at by some residents of Agona Swedru while in the company of some NDC members, adomonline.com reports.
The incident happened when she went to submit her forms at the Agona West Constituency EC office, to contest as an independent candidate in the December general elections.
A video showed residents hooting at her and at the same time, shouting in Twi, “If you have enjoyed some, let others also enjoy too.”
Cynthia Morrison, who is the incumbent MP for the new Patriotic party, officially filed for nomination to run as an independent candidate after her defeat at the NPP primary elections.
She was captured in the video hugging residents before and after the submission of her nomination forms.
