Sources Radio, the Ghanaian No. 1 Pace Setter Radio Station Abroad Invites…

Nana Sarkodie Ababio, alias DJ Sources, the owner of Sources radio UK FM 96.3, has a message for his listeners and all those Ghanaians in the radio industry worldwide.

Nana Sarkodie Ababio hails from Sakra-Wonoo in the Ashanti region. It had always been his resolute determination to be of honest service to his people and humanity since his childhood. In whatever he does, he makes sure it reflects on his sole aspiration to be of dedicated selfless service to his people, country and humanity, in emulation of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Subsequently, Nana Sarkodie Ababio set up a radio station in London when he had the opportunity, to render unqualified service to all Ghanaians that tune in to Sources radio to listen to his educative and informative programmes presented by him without fear or favour, but truthfully as they come along.

Sources radio FM 96.3 is as well Online, and it is the most patronised Ghanaian radio station abroad because he entertains his listeners with various useful programmes and allows all those that phone-in ample time to express their views. Unlike other sister radio stations, the phone-in callers are made to feel at home and feel part of the programme presenting. All views are entertained and liberally expressed without the person contributing to the programme being cut off for a reason or the other. They are treated with respect. That is the secret of the success of Sources radio that is adding onto its number of listeners each passing day, and expanding its linkup with affiliate stations in Ghana.

I spoke with DJ Sources and according to him, radio presenters should allow their listeners more time to express their views and grieves, especially in this harshest socio-economic and financial period that Ghanaians find themselves in Ghana. He disagrees with his colleagues in the radio business on granting Government Ministers, Government appointees and their agents and assigns more airtime as programme panellists or phone-in callers to express their views that are often not of any great benefit to the country and her citizens. They come only to seek to justify their actions and inactions which are lately noticed to be often complete lies, propaganda, so to speak.

He further sees no reason why pastors, professors and politicians who come on programme shows are allowed more time to bandy words, express their views and concerns without actually having problems as compared to the large number of ordinary Ghanaians taking the brunt of the current economic hardships. He admonishes his fellow radio presenters to rather allow and encourage the suffering poor to come out to share their views. This is the difference between Sources radio and other radio stations both abroad and in Ghana. This same difference is the secret of his success.

It is about time radio programme presenters in Ghana allowed their listeners enough time to express their views and concerns because they feel the heat of any bad policy initiative so implemented by the government or whomever.

I shall personally advice Ghanaian radio programme presenters both resident in Ghana and abroad to emulate Sources radio. They should allow callers a bit more time to express their views, getting things off their chest because they are agonizing a lot under the current "create, loot and share gangster" administration in the country.

Sources radio will in the few weeks ahead of us be reaching out to Souls radio in France, Virgin City radio in Konongo to add more vibes to the station. It will help them expand their listeners base.

DJ Sources of Sources radio UK FM 96.3 shows the pace for ordinary Ghanaian citizens to feel proud for him to be worthy of emulation by other radio presenters.

He is of the strongest belief that the media can shape the affairs of the country for the better if and only if, programme presenters will be credible enough to demonstrate their integrity in whatever they do. They are to desist from being bedfellows with one politician or the other, ending up doing propaganda work for that person. Radio presenters are to live above reproach, DJ Sources intones.
