Special concessionary rate for children on Buses

Government has given a special concessionary fare of 500 hundred cedis to children below the ages of fifteen for boarding the mass transportation Buses within any parts of Accra.

The concession, which would also apply to school children in uniform up to the age of eighteen years, takes effect from Monday, January 27, 2003.

A statement issued in Accra on Saturday by the Ministry of Information and Presidential affairs and signed by Kofi Amposah-Bediako, Assistant Government Spokesman said the gesture is aimed at easing the transport burden on parents.

The statement asked beneficiaries to take advantage of the concession.
