Accra June 15, GNA - An Accra Circuit Court on Thursday remanded into prison custody a 35-year-old Sprayer for smashing his Sister's eye during a confrontation.

Daniel Annor charged with causing unlawful harm pleaded not guilty. Annor a.k.a. Kofi Minta would reappear on June 27. Annor's Sister has been declared blind in her right eye.

Minta, however, caused a stir at the Court when the Investigator in charge of his case decided to escort him to the cells.

"Don't touch me, if you touch me I will bite you. God will punish you for what you have done," Annor told the Investigator.

Annor's Mother, who accompanied the Investigator, had her share of the insults, "thank you for sending me to the Psychiatric Hospital, if I return from the cells you will die".

The case of Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector Ben Darfuor was that the Ms Millicent Agyapong, a petty trader and a sister to the accused person, went to stay with her mother, who lived with the accused person, when she was ejected by her Landlord.

Annor began terrorizing the Ms Agyapong and her two sisters and had been putting off lights in the house.

On May 1, 2006, when the sisters confronted him, Annor became infuriated, picked up a stone and hit the Ms Agyapong in the right eye. The Prosecution said Ms Agyapong bled profusely so she was rushed to the Police Hospital but was transferred to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment but she was declared blind after examination. The Prosecutor said when the Police Patrol team arrested Annor, five wrappers of Indian hemp were found on him.

On May 12 2006 Annor stripped naked when he was put before the Greater Accra Regional Tribunal. The Presiding Judge, therefore, ordered that he should be sent to the Psychiatric Hospital for examination but he escaped and went back home.
