Kojo T asked to put his evidence in context

Accra, Feb 10, GNA - Justice Kweku Etru Amua-Sekyi, Chairman of the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC) on Tuesday insisted that Captain Kojo Tsikata (rtd), former National Security Adviser, should restrict his evidence to the murder of the three High Court Judges and the retired Army Officer.

Mr Justice Amua-Sekyi gave the directive when Captain Tsikata, who was appearing following two subpoenas from the Commission, wanted to recount how he was tortured in November 1975 during the regime of General Acheampong.

He said Captain Tsikata could have petitioned the Commission if he so desired but since he did not he could not be allowed to chip in his own tale of woe.

Captain Tsikata was giving evidence following a petition submitted to the NRC by Mrs Jemima Acquah regarding the abduction and murder of her husband, Major Sam Acquah and three High Court Judges on 30th June 1982.
