Bolgatanga, Sept 30, GNA- St. Vincent de Paul Society, a charitable organisation of the Catholic Church, has spent 16 million cedis on the needy in the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish in Bolgatanga.
Mr Paul Akologo, President of the Society, said a house was built for a woman at a cost of two million cedis, another eight million cedis was used to sponsor four students at training colleges and four million cedis spent on a sick woman at Koforidua.
Mr Akologo said the Catholic Relief Services (CSR), the Presentation Brothers, Holy Sisters of Mary and contributions from members to the society made it possible for it to look after the needy. 30 Sept. 03
