Stabbed constable responding to treatment

Police Constable Freeman Felix Agama, who was stabbed by unknown assailants at Ada in the Greater Accra Region, is responding to treatment.

Chief Superintendent Dodzi Godact Hlodzi, Ada District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency that Constable Agama who was in a critical condition after the incident, is now responding to treatment at the Police Hospital

Chief Supt. Hlodzi, however, stated that his outfit was yet to arrest the culprits, and therefore, appealed to the public to volunteer information that would lead to their apprehension.

Constable Agama, who is with the Rapid Deployment Force, Tema, was a week ago stabbed several times with broken bottles by four unidentified men at a drinking bar at Ada Foah, in the Greater Accra Region.

The victim, who was in mufti at the time of the incident, had closed from night patrols at about 0400 hours and went to visit a colleague at the Ada Foah Police Station.

After the visit, he proceeded to the "Rub-Stone Bar" in the vicinity to get a drink.

At the bar, a misunderstanding ensued between him and the four men who stabbed him severally in his head, eyes, face and hands.

The culprits are said to have driven off in a Toyota Corolla with registration number GT 2305 – 12, after the attack.
