The connection between corruption and killing of premature babies might look vague on the onset, but from the explanation given by the managing editor of the Insight newspaper, we get to know there is a solid link.

Mr. Kwesi Pratt took to the studios of PeaceFM on the eve of Christmas to appeal to all to avoid corrupt acts, which according to him, has a long negative effect on the nation. He was saddened by the fact that people in authority could be so interested in amassing ill-gotten wealth, but did not see the need to purchase incubators to house premature babies.

Known to say things the way they are, the seasoned journalist revealed that from his own personal investigations, he has uncovered that most of the leading hospitals in the country had inadequate incubators. The severity of the matter is that instead of one incubator housing one premature baby, it houses three to four babies.

Considering his age, Mr. Pratt stated that he has no intention to father a new baby in the future but noted that he fears for the generations ahead. His reason was that though people are milking the nation and making millions out of their dirty deals, none of them saw the need to purchase an incubator which is less than £10,000.

“What is the price of an incubator? Am not sure an incubator would cost more than £10,000. I am grown and it is likely I won’t make babies anymore, but we should all be concerned. This is because it is possible some of our grandchildren would deliver premature babies,” he said.
