The Coalition of NaBCO Trainees has dismissed reports by the regional coordinator that the delay in the payment of their arrears is due to failure by some trainees to comply with directions from authorities.

According to the Coalition, the program’s coordinators have everything to do with the delays in payment of their arrears, contrary to suggestions that it is resultant of failure on the part of the NaBCO trainees to follow directives from authorities.

The subject of delayed salaries they insist, began from the onset.

The coalition in a press release therefore described the statements by coordinators of the program as “unprofessional, and unhealthy for corporate development and Nation Building”

Below is the full statement

Stop blaming Nabco Trainees, Nabco Problems were caused by Lack of Administrative Proactiveness

First of all, we wish to inform all Trainees and the general public that Monday, 14th October, CONAT will release its Official address on Nabco's One Year Anniversary which is poised to be detailing our anylsis of the initiative after its year marathon, evaluation of Management Performance, and CONAT's suggestions for improvement and our Fresh Agenda.

Whiles awaiting for our virgin insight into the initiative, CONAT will emphatically state that the matters raised by Greater Accra Regional Coordinator in a Press Conference held Yesterday which purposed to exonerate the Drivers of this initiative by publicly chastising and leveling the cause of all the challenges the scheme has suffered on Trainees is total fallacy, an act we consider unprofessional, blame game and unhealthy to corporate development and Nation Building.

We wish to solemnly state that, the problems which battled the initiative prematurely from the onset (such as defunct and blank E-zwich numbers and names recorded on other engagements like forestry and YEA) were foreseeable, and could have been avoided by any prudent Management. Trainees promptly reported all challenges to their coordinators including appropriate suggestions such as appeal for reopening the Portal for Trainees to correct the anomalies before the first batch payment and many more which could have positioned the scheme problem-free, but were deliberately neglected which saw odd Management directives rather complicating and showcasing each and every problem suffered by this initiative.

Again No vulnerable Trainee will deliberately fail to obey simple instructions like promptly submitting time sheets and frequent update on the portal which could stagger the flow of his or her stipends. Besides, Trainees currently suffering from the bruises of Defunct Banks and Banks with revoked licenses, under no circumstance can be blame. They have subscribed to immediate directives including re-acquisition of new cards from active banks but still had their monies unjustifiably delayed for couple of months.

CONAT's detail commentary on the program will drop on Monday.

It is our passionate Appeal to the leadership to desist from blame games and complacent merry making, and set this year anniversary as a period of brainstorming to perfect this laudable initiative.

Thank You All.

All Trainees and the general public should keep confiding in the Coalition of Nabco Trainees as we continue to champion the welfare of Trainees devoid of infiltrations and adulteration.
