A former Deputy Minister of Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu says Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia appears to be excited over little and mundane achievements.
Dr Bawumia has been touted by many as the ‘digital man’ for his initiatives to digitise Ghana’s economy.
He has also been credited for the introduction of paperless transactions at the various ports in the country, the Ghana card initiative, Ghana Post GPS and the introduction of drones for blood delivery to remote medical facilities in the country.
But speaking on Starr Chat Wednesday, March 11, 2020 with Bola Ray, Mr Ofosu Kwakye said these initiatives are not spectacular achievements the vice president should be trumpeting.
According to him, these are initiatives civil society organisations continue to champion.
“He has done nothing spectacular. The things Bawumia is championing are mundane things civil servants can do, they are mundane. The things he does are exaggerated and embellished. In fact, most started under the NDC and we didn’t make noise about them,” Mr Kwakye said.
He advised the vice president to stop celebrating little things.
