With elephants from the Kakum National Park invading and trampling farms in the Assin South district of the Central Region, farmers there have appealed to the government to intervene so as to safeguard their livelihood from destruction.

The affected farmers are mostly in Nsupanim and Kyekyewere.

They say mostly cocoa farms are decimated by the large mammals. They are threatening to boycott the December 7 elections if the government fails to address their concern.
