The Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North constituency of the Eastern Region, Gifty Twum-Ampofo has been cautioned to desist from peddling falsehood about her contender and Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ambassador Victor Smith.
A group calling itself Friends of Victor Smith accused the legislator of lying following comments she made against the NDC candidate over a hospital which is currently under construction at Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region.
The MP on Sunday, at the launch of her campaign at Osiem alleged the said hospital is not built by the NDC candidate Ambassador Victor Smith, a claim which has generated lots of controversies.
Spokesperson for Friends of Victor Smith, Atta Boateng at a press conference in Tafo, rubbished the allegations and rather accused the MP of being ignorant of what goes within her jurisdiction.
“The MP does not even know what is going on in her own constituency so we are not surprise to hear such baseless comments from such person”. He indicated.
He has however advised her to remain silent on issues she knows nothing about since the developmental legacy of the NDC candidate much outweighs all past MPs including herself.
“Ambassador Smith has done a lot and still doing more for the people in the constituency so she should keep quiet if she has nothing to say” Atta Boateng said.
