Leaders of the two major political parties, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), have been advised to desist from backward clashes and deal with the problems engulfing the country.

The political parties have been engaging in a fierce battle as to the number of family and friends appointees each party is guilty of.

This, however, did not sit down well with the host of GHOne’s TV news anchor, Nana Aba Anamoah, who lashed out at the two parties for the disrespect they have served Ghanaians.

In her view, the NDC and the NPP have taken us (Ghanaians) for granted and as such we should teach them a lesson and vote them out completely.

“I think Ghanaians should wake up and smell the coffee. I think these two political parties are taking us for us a ride. They’ve taken us for granted, they’ve done it before.”

She indicated that President Nana Akufo-Addo during his recent tour in the Volta Region showed a high level of disappointment in failing to account to the people the number of jobs he has created in the region or indicate how he plans solving their problems but rather preferred to criticize the past government for their work.

“The president today in the Volta Region should be telling us exactly how many jobs he has created in the Volta Region alone, he shouldn’t be reminding us of what John Mahama didn’t do or said and hadn’t said. We are not interested in that. There are problems in the Volta Region, he should be telling us what he has done to address those problems.”

Nana Aba Anamoah believes Ghanaians should the two parties how disappointed they are.

“We are not angry enough, we are not demanding accountability enough,” she said.

She, therefore, urged Ghanaians to wake up and treat every one of their political gimmicks with contempt.

“I think we should treat it with the contempt it deserves. We saw the president in the Volta Region tearing the Former President apart. I think we should take whatever they are saying with a pinch of salt unless they are dealing with our problems unless they are fixing the problems of this country and Ghanaians must teach NDC and NPP a lesson. I don’t think we have taught them a lesson. The only lesson we teach them is to decide that this person should take a break and that one should come in. We need to teach them a very serious lesson.”
