Stop spate of road accidents - Akufo-Addo orders Ministers

President Akufo-Addo has ordered the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, Minister of Roads and Highways Kwasi Amoako Atta and the Minister of Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah to immediately come out with a proposal to stop the spate of road accidents in the country.

In a tweet and on his Facebook wall, President Akufo-Addo said he is concerned and saddened by the accidents that have claimed almost 20 lives in the last two weeks including that of Dance-hall Artiste Ebony Reigns.

The most recent accident happened yesterday (February 13) morning on the Taifa - Achimota road which claimed 6 lives.

The recurring accidents have caused people to question the state of roads in the country and called for immediate steps deal with the problem.
