Atitsogbui Richard, 24, a Student of Ho Technical University and one Fred Kwesi Kwame, 25, a Carpenter, have appeared before a Ho Circuit Court for stealing items worth GH¢12,940.00

Their pleas were not taken and would be brought back to the Court on April 12, this year.

Prosecuting Deputy Superintendent of Police Samuel Aboagye, told the Court presided by Madam Priscilla Dikro, that the complainant, one Gabriel Kwaku Adom, 61, is a Retired Public Servant who resides in Ho.

He told the Court that on March 3, 2017, at about 0500 hours, the complainant and his family woke up and realised that the iron bars in the windows to their main hall were jerked up and their rooms ransacked.

The Court was told that the complainant found out that his Samsung 42 inches flat screen television valued at GH¢2,500.00, Macbook laptop valued at GH¢7,000.00, a Huawei phone valued at GH¢450.00, a Samsung Mega phone value at GH¢1,590.00, one L.G phone valued at GH¢600.00 and cash amount of GH¢800.00 were stolen.

Mr Aboagye said during investigations, three men were arrested in Accra around the Kwame Nkrumah Circle with the laptop, and they mentioned Atitsogbui Richard, as the one who sold the laptop to them and led the police to arrest him on April 4, 2017.

The Court was told that Attitsogbui admitted the offence when arrested and mentioned Fred Kwesi Kwame and Oscar Letsa, on the run, as accomplices.

Mr Aboagye said the television, mobile phones and the cash amount were yet to be retrieved and prayed the Court to keep the accused persons in custody to enable the Police do further investigations.
