Summer Prayer Festival In New Jersey

Fri, 4 Aug 2006 Source: Mr CNN

This prayer convocation was called in accordance with the word of God in Joel chapter two verses 15-17:

"15. Blow a trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly, 16. Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and the nursing of infants. Let the bridegroom come out of his room and the bride out of her bridal chamber. 17. Let the priests, the Lord's ministers, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, 'Spare Thy people, O Lord, and do not make Thine inheritance a reproach, a byword among the nations.

Why should they among the peoples say, 'Where is their God?'"

Every now and then God's people need to come together in a more aggressive manner to seek the face of the Lord in prayers. "Then the Lord will be zealous for His land, and will have pity on His people ? and the Lord will answer and say to His people, 'Behold I am going to send you grain, new wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied in full with them. And I will never again make you a reproach among the nations.'" (Joel 2 vs. 18 & 19) God did just that through the anointed preaching of the word, the prophetic utterances and the powerful deliverances and intercessory prayers.

The Summer Prayer Festival, which recently took place at the First Assemblies of God located at Edison, NJ had; Rev. Prophet Prince Frimpong of Lighthouse Chapel, Ghana as the main speaker. Other supporting ministers were:: Prophet Richard Boachie, Rev. James Tweneboa, Rev. Daniel Boachie (former pastor of Agogo Assemblies of God), Rev. Tony Binkorang (also of A/G church, Ghana) and Rev. Dr.

Monica Aidoo who ministered in word and in music.

Tears of joy flowed in the eyes of men and women as the Prophet of God delivered the prophetic words of encouragement and healing to the brokenhearted. The two-week festival had to be extended to three weeks. Day by day and night by night the sanctuary was packed with faithful seekers of God.

Musicians such as Felicity/Joe Menz, Silvia Asamoah, Grace Wallace and others graced the convocation. The Summer Prayer Festival was sponsored by Mr. Kofi Bawuah, President of Universal Trucking and Shipping in New Jersey; 732381 6977..

The Fall Prayer Festival is scheduled for the first and second weeks of October, 2006. You can't afford to miss it. " Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you." (Luke 11:9l)
