Agents of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the collation centre in the Sunyani West Constituency have reportedly refused to sign the final collation sheet.
Dr. Thomas Agyekum Kyeremeh stated that the NPP agents did not sign the sheet due to irregularities they identified on some of the pink sheets.
He disclosed that over 30 pink sheets were left unsigned, raising concerns.
He argued that such unlawful practices affect the integrity of the entire electoral process and should not be allowed to continue, hence the decision not to sign.
Meanwhile, the dream of Labour and Employment Minister, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, to secure a fourth term bid has been dashed following his defeat in the just concluded elections.
Millicent Yeboah Amankwah polled 26,828 votes to beat Awuah, who scored 19,815 at the polls held on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Awuah joins the long list of NPP Members of Parliament to lose their seats.
