The Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Johnson Avuletey has implored Ghanaians to support the Akufo-Addo-led-government’s developmental agenda for the county, irrespective of their political affiliation.
This he said would enhance government to effectively deliver on its mandate to better the lots of Ghanaians.
He also urged the citizenry to take advantage of the numerous policies and programs being implemented by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to better their lives.
“We must not be unconcerned with happenings in the country just because our party is not in power”, he told a gathering during the donation of some relief items to victims of a rainstorm in Sokode Ando and Sokode Bagble in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region.
He stated that it would be unwise for citizens to ignore government’s policies and programs with the reason being that they are not being implemented by the political party they are affiliated to.
“When the NPP introduced the National Health Insurance Scheme, majority of people in the Volta Region decided not to register, but they later realised the potentials of the scheme and registered”, he said.
Mr Avuletey, therefore, entreated residents of the farming communities to register for the programs in the agricultural sector to get access to subsidised farm inputs to increase their yields.
Mr Avuletey accompanied the Volta Region NPP Secretary Jospeh Homenya to donate 100 bags of Cement, 10 bundles of aluminium roofing sheet for onward distribution to victims who were rended homeless by rainstorm on 3rd April 2019 in Sokode Ando and Bagble.
