Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an International Evangelist, at the weekend observed that the verdict of the Supreme Court on the election petition holds the key to national security, stability and unity.

“The judgment of the nine justices of the Supreme Court will let them stand out in the history of the country since it is going to be a landmark ruling, “he said.

Addressing an Annual Conference of Sheepfold Chapel in Accra as a Guest Speaker, Dr Tetteh said the names of the judges would be written in gold as people who stood stoically in the face of difficulty and delivered a judgment that united the nation.

He led intercessory prayers at the five-day conference being hosted by Bishop Gideon Titi Offei, General Overseer of the church, for the Lord to grant the judges wisdom, boldness and tenacity to declare the truth.

Dr Tetteh, who is also the President and Founder of the UK-based World Miracle Outreach, prayed that the judges should rise above personal interests whilst God should help them deliver a judgment that would be a reflection of his divine mind.

He said so far, the boldness and high level of professionalism displayed by the judges has won them the admiration of many hence the need for them to be channels of the Lord to consolidate national peace, unity and stability.

Dr Tetteh said Ghanaians are depending on the judges to showcase the country as a genuine fledgling democratic state.

“Let us once again be an example of an excellent democracy in Africa,” he said.

He said the petitioners - New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the respondents-National Democratic Congress (NDC) should honour their numerous promises to ensure peace and stability after the verdict has been given on August 29.

“Both the NDC and NPP should walk the talk and know that the ‘voice of the people is the voice of the Lord’.”

Dr Tetteh called on the country’s religious leaders to sustain their prayers for national stability and integration to enlist a massive united front.
