Mr Egbert Kwadzo Hohoabu, the President of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors has advised surveyors to assist land owners to acquire proper documentation regarding ownership and acquisition.
He said surveyors should give good counsel to contractors professionally to enable them manage and control infrastructural development in the country.
Mr Hohoabu gave the advice during the re-inauguration of the Northern Sector Chapter of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and Continue Professional Development in Tamale.
The event was on the theme: "The Surveyor and the Law of Contact", was to revive the Northern Sector Chapter of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors to be active in the region.
He called on the Surveyors to assist in the planning and layout of cities and communities to enhance development in those areas.
He also urged Surveyors to collaborate with the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources to provide maps for planning environmental monitoring of the natural resources in the country.
