A Circuit Court Judge Francis Ofori has granted bail to two suspected arsonists said to be behind a number of fire outbreaks in Accra's markets.

Fatau Ibrahim and Yacubu Tahiru, were granted a bail sum of GHS50,000 with three sureties, two to be justified and a third to be a public servant.

The presiding judge was forced to grant the suspects bail after the state again failed to begin prosecution on Tuesday.

He had granted three previous remand requests from the prosecution to allow them conclude investigations into the arson allegations against the suspects, but warned he was no longer going to keep the suspects in custody if the prosecution failed to begin trial proceedings today.

Joy News' Anny Osabutey who was in court, Tuesday reported the prosecution as saying they have concluded investigations but are awaiting advice on the docket sent to the Attorney General.

Francis Ofori was not sure when the prosecution had planned to begin the trial, and therefore, granted the suspects bail.

They are to re-appear on July 31.
