Suspected rapist stabbed

One Kwame Kwarteng, 30, was stabbed at dawn yesterday after he attempted raping a 60-year-old blind woman at Papase No.2 in the Ashanti region.

Nyankonton Mu Nsem's Abdul Malik Anokye reported that Kwarteng broke into the victim's room with the aim of satisfying his sexual desire.

The suspect allegedly pounced on the victim but luck eluded him after screams from the old woman prompted her grandson to rush to her room wielding a knife which he allegedly stabbed the suspect with.

Kwame Kwarteng, however, manged to abscond with his wounds.
