Swear by ‘Antoa Nyamaa' if Nyantakyi never gave you money - Asafo Agyei to Akufo-Addo

An aspiring Ashanti Regional Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Asafo Agyei has challenged President Akufo- Addo to publicly swear by Antoa Nyamaa if indeed he has never received any money from Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Kwesi Nyantakyi has officially been charged with defrauding by false pretence after it was revealed in an Anas Aremeyaw Anas’s investigation that he used the president’s name to solicit for bribes from supposed potential investors.

According to the vociferous communicator, the Ghana Football Association boss wouldn’t have used President Akufo-Addo’s name to solicit for bribes from the supposed potential investors if he had not being dashing him money previously.

Speaking on Abusua Nkommo, Asafo Adjei argued that Nyantakyi perhaps might have used the President’s name in collecting alleged bribes from the potential investors considering his good relationship with the Ghanaian leader.

He also cited Hon. Kennedy Agyapong’s allegation that members of the NPP party, had to pay $20,000 before booking appointment with the president and that it’s likely he took the reportedly $5,000,000 the FA chief.

Despite attempt by President Akufo- Addo and the presidency to legally deal with Kwesi Nyantaky, the NDC communicator who has been a constant critique of the NPP’s administration says it would be prudent for Nana Addo to swear by the ‘powerful river’ to declare that under no circumstance has he ever taken any cash from Mr Nyantakyi.

”Kwame Nana Akufo-Addo should swear by ‘Antoa Nyamaa if indeed he has never received any money from Kwesi Nyantakyi. I think he [Nyantakyi] used the President’s name to collect bribes from the said potential investors because of the activities they have been doing over the years.



”The President should swear by ‘Antoa Nyamaa’ to erase the perception that Kwesi Nyantakyi even sponsored his campaign”.

Kwesi Nyantakyi is currently being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service.
