Dr Damanya stressed the commitment of the staff to work hard and with dedication with the take off of the health insurance and said that the Hospital lacked toilet facilities for the public while the mortuary had been closed down for renovation.

He said the Japanese International Corporation Association (JICA) was constructing a 30-bed ward at the cost of 75,000 dollars about 600 million cedis.

Dr Damanya stated that the Hospital was facing serious accommodation problem, adding that a Pharmacist transferred there could not be accommodated and appealed to District Assembly for assistance. Mr Mensah urged the staff to work hard to redeem the sinking image of the hospital, saying that the public would change their perception depending on their attitude to work.

He assured that management that the Assembly would construct a modern toilet facility and provide accommodation for a third Doctor to be posted to the District.
