The Agona Swedru Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service led by the Divisional Crime Officer, D.S.P Osei Kwadwo on last Tuesday October 17, arrested Mr. Kojo Baah popularly known as ‘Mozano Terror’ for his multiple assault on innocent people in and around Gomoa Mozano for assaulting one Mr. Kwesi Brew a photographer based at Agona Swedru and at the same time inflicting multiple wounds on Nana Appiah Ansong-Adu of the Accra-Abeka branch of the Musama Disco Christo Church

The arrest followed a complained made by Mr. Kwesi Brew to the Police. According to the photographer, on that fateful day he was taking picture at Mozano at about 7:20am when Kojo Baah came to asked him why he was taking the pictures with his video camera. He disclosed that before he could open his mouth to answer, the suspect started to snatch the camera from him. “When I resisted the attempt, he turned his anger on the boy who was helping me by holding his shirt and asking him to leave the place. My boy struggled with him for some time and I decided to go to his rescue. At that time Kojo Baah held the neck of the camera and broke the mic stand on the camera so I had no option but to report it to the police” Mr. Brew told reporters.

Investigation conducted by this reporter revealed that before the arrest of the Mozano Terror, a group of people believed to be opponents of Prophet Dr. Miritaiah Jonah Jehu-Appiah, Akaboha II had threw uncountable number of stones to the house of the Akaboha II apparently to harm him and his supporters because they believed that the Akaboha II master minded the detention of some five elders of the church by the Cape Coast High Court. It came to light that soon after the five had paid the fines placed on them and were set free from prison custody, their followers started jubilating out of which they began to throw stones at the premises of the Akaboha II.

This reporter leant that it was Kojo Baah who led a mob made up of about 34 people to take this ‘Palestinian’ action at Gomoa Mozano on that night at about 1:12am. The fact of the matter was that the Cape Coast High Court on Friday October 13, 2006 sentenced the five persons who are members of the Interim Management Committee of the M.D.C.C for contempt of court when they breached the court’s injunction which was placed on the celebration of Peace Festival that is celebrated annually my the church citing uneasy calm at Gomoa Mozano, the Headquarters of M.D.C.C.

The injunction order reads “ It is hereby ordered that the I.M.C of the Musama Disco Christo Church or the organizers or any person lawfully claiming through them or are hereby restrained from celebrating this year’s Peace Festival and other minor festivals or activities that acts as a prelude to the said festival which is likely to lead to breach of the peace at Mozano and elsewhere among the members of the said church” But the five, Pastor S.A.K Nyame, Rev. James Addai, Rev. H..K Baah, Rev. B Adu Quansah and Mr. Victor Arkhurst flouted the court order hence the contempt which landed them in jail after they had failed to pay ¢40 million sentence and a cost of ¢10 million placed on them by the court

In a related development, Nana Appiah Ansong- Adu has narrated his ordeal at the hand of Mr. Kojo Baah the ‘Mozano Terror’ to the police. According to him the suspect met him when he was returing from Gomoa Eshiem. as soon as he saw me he started to insult me and before I could say jack, he started to cut me with the knife he was hiding in his pocket”

When Contacted, D S P Osei Kwadwo disclosed to newsmen that Kojo Baah will soon be put before the law court to face the full rigorous of the law.
