Professor J.E.A Mills’ 'official' spiritual guide, TB Joshua, has spited the Ghanaian President. It is not official, but... sources in Nigeria say since the Professor went to Nigeria after the elections to say ‘Thank You’ to TB Joshua, he has never visited him.
Worse still, our sources in Nigeria and TB Joshua’s Church of the Synagogue, say every spiritual advice proffered by TB Joshua to Mills have been allegedly spurned by the Ghanaian.
Advice number one was a charge to Mills to put the poor and not party first: Mills failed.
According to TB, that principle is an eternal key in keeping one’s position and wealth.
The second advice to Atta Mills was for him to punish his appointees who were found to be corrupt, and not shield them.
Mills has failed in that regard too.
Again, he was advised not to isolate ex-President Jerry John Rawlings but accord him all the necessary respect and regard. TB said this was important because the National Democratic Congress Manifesto, which brought Mills to political power, was initiated in the blood of Jerry Rawlings. In spiritual law, he warned Mills, Jerry Rawlings is principally the owner of the party and that was why Mills should always see Jerry Rawlings as his Godfather.
But TB Joshua allegedly also advised Mills - if he intended owing the NDC - to come down to Nigeria to assist him exorcise that ownership spirit behind NDC, so that ownership can pass on spiritually to Mills. Mills allegedly promised to avail himself. He offered no date but said it would be soon. He did not abide by that promise.
Almost four years into the Mills first term, Mills is apparently saying to TB that ‘All God is God:’ he is now allegedly seeing and consulting Bishop Charles Agyin Asare of the Word Miracle Church, his number two spiritual advisor. TB has not said anything on the platform about Ghana, except our poor performance about the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup. He also warned about food security problems which Minister of Agriculture Kwesi Ahwoi confirmed, adding that Ghana is likely to suffer food shortage challenges this year owing to poor rainfall patterns.
But TB spoke in that regard also about Nigeria, saying its economy would nosedive and oil prices spark demonstrations.
In private, however, he has warned that Mills is playing with fire.
He likened Mills to late General IK Acheampong, who preached God and practiced vice, when he was the Head of State of Ghana.
“Most African Heads of State forget that power emanates from God. When they seek power, they admit the Sovereignty of God in appointing rulers. However, when they are in power, they begin to think they can use their sense of imagination and scheming to maintain power. I'm sorry for him,” he was said to have told his lieutenants at the Synagogue.
Mills is allegedly also having problems with his other Ghanaian spiritual advisor, former Minister for Religious Affairs in the PNDC administration, Prophet SK Obeng, alias Tugya, who successfully prophesied JA Kufuor’s 2000 victory and JEA Mills 2008 victory amid controversy in the halls of the Electoral Commission.
